Biography Of Oscar Salita ( b. 1943 )

Hello all and in today’s post I would like to feature another Philippines artist. He is none other than the famous Oscar Salita and here’s his biography and a few of his famous paintings. Enjoy…..

Oscar Salita was born 1943 in the Philippines. He is considered one of the popular Filipino artists and his folk artworks are cherished by collectors in Philippines and abroad. Salita’s works are very distinctive- his figures and backgrounds speaks of traditional Filipino culture and they are rendered in bold colors and interesting geometry. Salita has enjoyed huge success in his career; his work has reached the US and many prominent cities around the world making him an important and highly prized artist.
