Potraits by Francisco de Goya y Lucientes

I’ve always wondered, how does it feels to be famous as an artist while you are still living (not when you’re already dead). Especially when one is so famous that one’s work is really recognize and highly regarded.

Let’s just say that I'm famous painter. What will I paint? Of cause I'm gonna paint a portrait of myself. Why not right? If I can I'm gonna paint my entire family. Well there are all a lot of them.

There are famous painters that are recognize in their own time because of this. He's no other than an artist named Francisco de Goya y Lucientes. He paints a nice portrait of himself while he was at the top of his career. Smart wasn’t he and he paints it the best he can coz he knew that his portrait would be highly regarded and valued. And he is absolutely right coz now his portrait is hanging nicely in a famous museum.
