Beautiful Paintings by Lee Man Fong
I'm not a collector of painting but i do love looking at it., tough the price itself scare me. So all i could do is browse around looking and finding information about it and this is a few painting by Lee Man Fong that i really like ( to own ). this three painting are just a few of his best and are now own by very wealthy people. Hope one day i can have the money to but one of those painting. but for now all that i can do is just admire from a distance.

Biography oF Lin Feng Mian
Today I would like to write about the biography of famous painter named Lin Feng Mian.
Lin Feng Mian was born in Guangdong, China in 1900 and died in 1991. In his early twenties he spent most of his time in France where he studied art but he later returned to China to be a principal and a teacher at the Beiping Institute of Arts. Lin Feng Mian blended both his Chinese ink and Western oil successfully and seamlessly integrating it into Western and Chinese style. He was know as the pioneer of modern Chinese art and held several solo exhibitions in Berlin. At the age of 28 he founded the National Academy of Art in China but because of his controversial works during Sino-Japanese War and Cultural Revolution in the1960s, he had to destroy most of his own artworks and ended up being imprisoned for four years. He then migrated to Hong Kong and spent the rest of his life there. And here's a few paintings by him for you to enjoy.

Biography of Wu Guanzhong
Wu Guanzhong was born on 1919 in Yixing, China. In 1936 Wu enrolled in the National Arts Academy of Hangzhou, studying Chinese and Western painting. Later in 1947, Wu traveled to Paris to study modern art at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts on a government scholarship. Wu was greatly inspired by French Impressionist artists like Matisse, Cezanne and Van Gogh. After 4 years in France he returned to China and began teaching at the Central Academy of Art in Beijing. He tried to introduce Western art to his students but his effort was not appreciated by the institutions.
Wu was even banned a couple of years from painting during the Great Cultural Revolution back in 1966. To avoid provoking the authorities, he later changed his matters and started painting subject like landscapes, architecture, animals and plants which became his trademark and he also did combination of watercolor and Chinese ink in an Impressionism style. Wu held many successful major solo exhibitions in art galleries and museums all around the world.

Biography of Willem Gerard Hofker
Willem Gerard Hofker was born on 1902 in Amsterdam, and passed away on 1981. Previous education was from the Academy of Fine Arts In The Hague and at the Rijksacademie (National Academy) in Amsterdam. Aside learning from school, he was once a student from Willem Witsen (1860-1923) and Isaac Israel. (1865-1934).
Hofker first visited Bali in 1938 and his painting was quickly influenced by the Bali’s temple and women. He was captured during Japanese Invasion in Indonesia in 1942 but later released in 1944 where he then returned to Holland. Despite geographical differences, Hofker still continue in depicting Bali’s beauty for the rest of his life.
His light brushes enriched the texture with sensitive use of light shadow. With elegant master technique this romantic and poetic artist works became well known and famous.
